Scott Mertz is Vice President of NAI Mertz and an Industrial/Flex specialist. A graduate of Towson University in Maryland, and an “All Conference” tennis player, Scott learned about real estate in college while working for Amoco Oil, preparing demographic reports, researching zoning and assisting the property development manager.
Since his career in real estate began, Scott has been an industrial/flex specialist. He has to date leased and sold over 5 million square feet of space, totaling $180 million in over 400 transactions. He has been working with First Industrial Realty Trust, overseeing 1.5 million square feet of space at one of their most successful business parks in the United States. In 2006, Scott sold over 47 million dollars worth of strip shopping centers in South Jersey.
Recently, in 2008 Scott was top 40 under 40 in the Real Estate New Jersey Magazine. In 2007, Scott was the recipient of the Broker All-Stars award by the Real Estate New Jersey Magazine. In 2004, Scott was awarded the annual Power Broker Award by the CoStar Group. This award recognizes his individual achievement and recognized him as one of the top 20 brokers in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Market. In 2003, Black’s Guide named Scott one of the “Top Guns” / top producing real estate brokers/leasing agents under the age of 35 in the Philadelphia market and he was also named one of the top ten brokers of 2003 by the NJ/PA Real Estate Journal. In 2000, and again in 2001, Scott completed the most transactions with the Bloom Organization, one of the leading local developers in Southern New Jersey. |
