Carmelo Costantino joins the dynamic NAI Mertz Southern NJ Office team as a Director. Carmelo brings a diverse background in both public and private sector leasing and construction management. Seasoned in negotiations and adept at competitive bidding, project buyout, and value engineering he brings a unique set of skills to the benefit of his real estate customers and clients.
Background & Experience
Carmelo brings more than thirty-nine (39) successful and diversified years in the commercial construction industry as a business owner and executive; managing private and public sector projects ranging from $1M to $500M. Prior to joining the company in 2022 Carmelo served as senior executive District Manager of Office Leasing and Lease Compliance Services with the State of New Jersey where he was responsible for creating, managing, and evaluating initiatives, operating standards, and procedures of the district office program. During his tenure with the State of New Jersey, he was responsible for procuring and managing 180,000 square feet of commercial office space in 40 legislative districts throughout the state of New Jersey. He managed a $6M annual budget ensuring each district office is fiscally accountable and meets guidelines in accordance with Legislative Joint Rules.
