Background & Experience
Karen Zinn has 33 years of diverse experience in commercial and institutional real estate development and management. She specializes in working with Universities and other non-profit Institutions in reaching their strategic real estate & facilities goals.

Her extensive experience includes strategic real estate planning and analysis, modeling and structuring of complex transactions, developer & consultant selection, transaction management, portfolio and lease administration, due diligence & project underwriting, as well as advising on organizational structure and process improvement.

From 1999 through 2003 as Director of Real Estate Finance and Portfolio Management at the University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Facilities & Real Estate Services, Ms. Zinn was a senior member of the real estate team charged with structuring and implementing over $250MM of significant neighborhood initiatives; and was responsible for all aspects of financial administration and budgeting for commercial real estate. Other Institutions and companies who have benefited from Ms. Zinn's advisory and technical services include the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; The Philadelphia Center; Neighborhood Bike Works; Liberty Property Trust; Tower Investments; and AthenianRazak Company. Ms. Zinn began her career in commercial real estate in accounting and financial management roles with major real estate development and property management companies Liberty Property Trust and Kravco Simon.

Community Involvement:
Karen enjoys volunteering her time and sharing her business and real estate skills with arts and cultural organizations through the Greater Philadelphia Arts & Business Council (ABC). She was the recipient of
ABC’s “Business Volunteer of the Year Award” in 2012 for her work in facilitating the creation of a Strategic Plan for Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. She was invited to the Board for Magic Gardens, and as a result of her signifi cant contributions to the Finance and Governance Committees was awarded a scholarship to the Arts & Business Council’s “Business on Board” program where she graduated in May 2013.
